The Operation Part 2: A Vulnerable Position

By April 14, 2023April 18th, 20232 Comments

I want surgery for my nose so that I can breathe better, but I also want it to look better too. I’m not sure whether that desire is something that I want, or if it’s something thrust onto me by society – the same desire that’s thrust on to you too, I imagine.

Can you tell I’ve spent a lot of time thinking and overthinking this?

Anyway, in today’s episode of the podcast, the surgery is booked, and I make my way back to Baltimore.

    You’re an inspiration!

    Turia,

Thanks for sharing your human, vulnerable side with me (and everyone else who listened). I’m not sure when you’ll be back here in the US for the surgery. You are so incredibly brave to be here alone. I’m a flight attendant and I’m based in Florida (so I’m just about a 2hr flight away from Baltimore). I know it’s not common for a stranger to say “hey, I’ll come hang out with you post op” But please let me know if you need anything. I just want you to know you’re not alone…you shouldn’t feel alone. You are so loved and admired – far more than you know.
Feel free to email me. I pray for your full recovery 💕🤗
