So, you want to be happy?

By July 12, 2018No Comments

Hey champ,

I’ve spent a lot of time in my email inbox this week.

Why? Well, as you may know, I kicked off a Reset Challenge on Monday. It was an epic three days and I’m still working my way through the hundreds of replies I received from people who took part in the challenge.

But as I’ve been reading and responding, it struck me just how similar we all are. Yes, everyone has unique stories, and different dreams for their life, but the one theme that kept popping up over and over was this:

It’s what we’re all striving for, right? All of us want to lead, happy, fulfilled, confident lives.

So, how do you get there?

To me, it’s pretty simple.

You can generate your own happiness in lots of different ways. Practising gratitude, giving back, having fun, making small mindset shifts each day, re-working your self-talk – there are stacks of different ways to add happiness to your life.

But underpinning all of that, for me anyway, is one big idea:

Happiness = progress.

When you’re making progress in your life, i.e. when you set a goal and begin to do the work to improve something in your life, bit by bit, happiness is a guaranteed by-product.

Because when you set a goal that excites you and scares you (just a little bit!), it compels you to:

  • Get out of your comfort zone
  • Overcome obstacles, and;
  • Be creative

It forces you to stretch and grow.

And, what do you get in return?

So much! When you finally achieve that goal, you get confidence, self-worth and a tougher, grittier mindset. And all of that helps you to level up in life.

So, what’s the number one thing you can do, right now, to improve your life?

Set a goal.

But not just any goal. It can’t be a goal that you think you “should” do, or a goal that doesn’t really mean anything to you.

Set a goal that excites you, one that lights you up, one that gets you thinking a little differently.

Set a goal that’s gonna drive you beyond the limits of your comfort zone.

Yes, it might feel scary, it might feel uncomfortable – but it will shape you, it will help you to grow and it will allow you to create happiness in your own life.

That’s why I’m always banging on about goal setting.

And it’s why I’ve created School of Champions – my online mindset-coaching course designed to help you achieve your goals.

It’s not easy to set a goal and achieve it, but it is worth it. And I can help you get there.

I’m stoked to say that the doors to School of Champions are now open. This will be our second and final intake for the year so if you’re keen to join us, now is the time.

There’s lots of new faces joining, and we’d love to work with you too!

OK, that’s it for me.

Remember, when you’re making progress in your life, you’re also creating happiness. – Tweet it!

Go set your goal, legend.
