In my running program, Run with Turia, we talk about something called The Golden Ratio.
It’s basically a rule, or measuring stick you can use to govern your progress.
Because when you’re exercising, or wanting to improve your health, it’s really difficult to improve every single day.
Why? Well, life happens. Maybe you don’t get enough sleep. Maybe you have an extra glass of wine. Maybe you’re tired. Maybe you’re putting your body through a lot and it can’t do what your asking it to do.
The Golden Ratio can help you figure out if you’re still making progress, even when life gets in the way (hint: I bet you are making more progress than you realise!).
I explain it here in this super quick ep of the podcast:
Let me leave you with this:
You’re not always going to feel motivated and that’s OK.
Improvement isn’t about climbing the highest mountains, or running the furthest… it’s about showing up, and trying your best, however that looks on that day.
