What are you cooking for dinner?

I know what you’re thinking.

You’re wondering how I have such long and luxurious hair (Tahitian genetics and a quarterly keratin treatment).

I know what else you’re thinking (and it’s not that I’m a creepy mind reader). You’re wondering why I’m always banging on about mornings, and why I think having a morning routine is the BEST thing you can do for yourself.

I mean, I think that’s what you’re thinking about.

Maybe you’re actually wondering what to have for dinner? Or if it’s going to rain? You’ve got washing on the line that you need to bring in and it looks sort of cloudy all of a sudden…… maybe you should check that?

I digress.

Mornings! I love them so much that I’m tempted to hop back into bed with them!

And while I think it’s ridiculous to tell someone all about your morning routine (as if you are the Authority On A Time Of Day), it turns out I’m exactly that kind of ridiculous person….. because I dedicated an entire chapter of Happy to this very topic 😂😂😂.

Anyway, I thought you might be interested in reading a short extract from this chapter.

It’s essentially a love letter to mornings.

I hope you find it insightful.

PS – If you’d like to read the rest of the chapter, which details how I became one of those annoying “morning people” after decades as a dedicated night owl, and my very own morning routine (with tips on how to build your own), check out Happy. Available here.

PPS. Is your inbox not going “ding!” with a new letter from me each Thursday? You gotta join the letter gang mate! It’s the best thing I do every week – and very often, the best thing landing in inboxes across the country. Join us here. We love new gang members!
