Let’s cut straight to it today, yeah?
If you have a business, or want to start one, this blog is for you. Why? Well my friend Marie Forleo (the genius behind B-School), launches her free training series today.
And if you have any tiny, sprouting desire to grow (or start!) your business and get it powering online you need to check it out.
Marie’s smart, effective training is what helped me build my business into what it is today (AKA one where I can have a baby the same month I launch my B-School project!).
See, five years ago, when I first started out, I had literally ZERO idea what I was doing.
And I mean zero.
(Um, you’ve read that list of business mistakes I shared a couple of weeks ago, yeah? So you know what I was working with ???)
I didn’t know how to build a website, how to market myself, or what to focus on.
And I found myself sort of just dabbling in stuff.
I was on the road, doing speeches, trying to write my book and even selling bottles of coconut oil that my friend and I had imported from Tahiti. So, yes, I mean it when I say I was dabbling. Doing lots of, well, everything, with no clear strategy behind ANYTHING.
I had this dream, this idea in my head of what my business could be …. but I just didn’t know how to make it all gel together online.
And then I found Marie, and B-School.
It changed everything.
Within just six months of finishing B-School, I’d:
- Launched a new website
- Created my first digital course
- Started building my letter gang (yes, the gang you’re a part of with 50,000 other legends!)
- Grew my social media following to over 100,000 (now over 1 million)
- Doubled my revenue, and;
- Started creating my team
I wouldn’t be where I am today without B-School.
I know that sounds a bit sensational (!!) but it’s true.
It gave me focus and direction. Most importantly, it taught me what steps I actually needed to take (and what order to take them in!!) to grow my business online.
So, what does this mean for you?
Well, every year, Marie releases a free training series ahead of B-School.
The first video dropped today and it outlines Marie’s 6-step roadmap to help you launch and grow your business online.
Like everything Marie does, it’s packed to the rafters and filled to the gills with useful, practical, “I can actually do this” insights.
And let me be clear – this is not flaky, get rich quick stuff. She’s not selling you some weird “secret business formula” or expensive software. It’s really the foundational stuff that Marie breaks down so well in B-School – what to focus on when it comes to getting your business online, how to take smarter, more strategic action, how to build trust with your audience and how to run a more profitable, powerful business.
This is why I love Marie – she’s no bullsh*t (‘scuse my language), down-to-earth and has bucket loads of integrity in everything she does. She’s our kind of person.
If you have a business, or you want to start one, I can’t recommend this free training (or B-School) enough.
PS – In case you missed it, that list of business mistakes I mentioned is right here. Worth a read if you feel like a good laugh at my expense!
PPS – Just so I’m being clear, watching Marie’s free training videos doesn’t obligate you to join B-School. But it will give you a great insight into what Marie is like, and the kind of stuff you can learn in B-School. It’s also packed full of really valuable content, so even if you decide that B-School isn’t right for you right now, you’ll get heaps of tips and ideas out of the training anyway. Win-win! You can get the videos here.
PPPS – (Geez, I’m really getting up there with the p’s!) If you know someone who might be interested in this free training, be a mate and share this blog with them! And let them know that they can ask me any q’s! Same goes for you too. If you have q’s about B-School, or how it all works, shoot me an email [email protected] and tell me. If I can’t hit you back, I’ll get someone from my team (whoever I think can answer your question best!) to reply for me.
PPPPS – Nothing really. Just wanted to say thanks for reading all the way to the bottom. You’re a doll.
