I’m a bit of a productivity nerd. I love anything that helps me save time or live smarter and there are a few tech apps that help me do just that.
The three apps below have literally changed my life. Honestly. I’m not kidding.
Oh, and no, I’m not getting any kickbacks or incentives by mentioning these apps to you – I just enjoy learning about other people’s fave apps, and thought you might like to know what mine are too!
- Boomerang for Gmail.
This is a lifesaver for me. I like to work when I like to work, but… most people don’t appreciate an email at 5 in the morning! Boomerang lets me schedule emails to send when I want them to send. Works a treat!
- Sleep Cycle on iPhone.
Basically an alarm, but it wakes you up softly and gently. You can also set a window of time for it to wake you up in. So if I need to be up by 6am, I can set a window between 5:30am and 6am and it will wake me up when I’m most ready to wake up in that time frame. Makes it easier to get up when you’re not being woken from a dead sleep! There’s also a power nap mode which stops you from going into deeper sleep.
Possibly my favourite app of all time. It plays sound…. pretty simple really, but I love it! There are different modes for ‘focus’, ‘meditation’ and ‘sleep’. I use ‘focus’ the most and I’ve found it has dramatically increased my productivity. I’m laser-focused when I’m listening to this with my headphones on!
